Artist Announcement + Fundraiser
We’re excited to welcome Oakland-based artist James Shields to the ArtHaus Holiday Open Haus for a special live painting experience. James is known for his bold illustrations, murals, soft sculptures, and community-driven projects — including The Watermelon Couch, his traveling art and oral-history project highlighting Black family migration stories.
During the event, James will create an original painting on site, and you can enter our raffle for a chance to take it home. All raffle proceeds support the ArtHaus Foundation and its creative community programs.

ArtHaus Holiday Open Haus: a FREE, festive market where the community will come together to share art, crafts, and showcase creativity.

Gingerbread House Decorating Contest: Get your creative hats on and join the fun and win a prize! All supplies will be provided.
Ugly Sweater Contest: Don your most festive and ugliest sweater for a chance to win a prize!
Delicious Catering: Enjoy food provided by two amazingly delicious Oakland restaurants, 9 Julio and Xingones.
